Brahmi Powder for Hair & Scalp

For hair

A conditioning-focused botanical powder. Hair tends to feel softer, smoother and more manageable, detangles more easily and can look naturally shinier after rinsing.

For the scalp

The paste rinses away cleanly, so the scalp feels fresh and comfortable rather than stripped or coated.

Blends with

Spierb Amla, Bhringraj, Aloe Vera Powder and Neem as masks, and Shikakai or Aritha as a wash, where the cleanser sets the method.

Hair and scalp mask

1. Place about 2–3 tablespoons of Spierb Brahmi Powder in a non-metallic bowl. Use less for short hair or a scalp-only pack and more for long or thick hair.
2. Add comfortably warm water gradually, stirring, until a smooth, yoghurt-like paste forms. It should not be runny.
3. Leave it to hydrate for about 5–10 minutes, then stir again and loosen with a splash of warm water if it has thickened.
4. Lightly dampen the hair and apply in sections to the scalp and hair; scalp-only or upper-length use is fine where dry ends don't need coating.
5. Cover if it helps keep the paste moist and leave on for 15–30 minutes — nearer 15 minutes for fine, porous, bleached, very dry or first-time use.
6. Rinse thoroughly with warm water until the hair no longer feels gritty, and condition the mid-lengths and ends if needed.
7. Use up to twice a week; fine or dry hair may prefer once a week with a shorter contact time.

Blends

1 tbsp brahmi + 1 tbsp Amla or Bhringraj (2 tbsp each for long or thick hair), hydrate 5–10 minutes, about 20 minutes on damp hair. 2 tbsp brahmi + 1 tbsp Aloe Vera Powder, rest 10 minutes, about 20 minutes on wet hair. 2 tbsp brahmi + 1 tbsp Neem, 15–20 minutes, scalp first. In a Shikakai or Aritha wash, 1 tbsp each as a thin pourable wash, hydrate 10–15 minutes, 3–5 minutes on the hair, rinse very thoroughly.

Brahmi-infused oil

Warm 1 tbsp of dry powder per 100 ml of coconut or sesame oil gently in a water bath for 30–45 minutes, cool completely, strain and store dry and labelled. Massage a little in 30–60 minutes before washing.

Using it safely

For external cosmetic use only, on hair and scalp. Do not ingest. Keep dry powder, paste and rinse water away from the eyes and immediate eye area, and rinse thoroughly with clean water if contact occurs. Do not apply to broken, damaged or significantly irritated scalp or skin. Keep out of reach of children.

Storing it

Protect the dry powder from moisture: reseal the pouch after use, store cool and dry away from direct sunlight, and use clean dry utensils. Shelf life 2 years from the date of packaging. Natural powders vary in colour, aroma, texture and mixing between batches, and results vary by person.
