How will my hair feel?

A smooth, freshly mixed mask that stays soft for its 20–30 minutes can leave hair feeling conditioned, settled and easier to comb once it's rinsed and dry. It's a loose plant powder rather than a creamy conditioner, so the finish feels natural rather than coated.

You control the mix

You decide the amount, the consistency and where it goes: all over, or mainly on the scalp and roots. Dry, porous or bleached lengths often prefer a scalp-focused pack or the infused-oil routine.

One powder, four formats

Mask, scalp pack, light rinse or home-infused carrier oil, all from the same pouch.

Blends with Amla and Brahmi

Equal parts with Spierb Amla or Spierb Brahmi make a simple two-powder mask; Aloe Vera Powder and Neem have their own ratios, and in a shikakai or reetha wash bhringraj is the supporting care herb.

What to expect

A green to olive-brown powder with an earthy, leafy aroma. Colour, aroma, fineness and water uptake vary a little between batches, which is normal for a minimally processed plant powder. Results vary by person and hair type.

Basic hair and scalp mask

1. Place about 2–3 tablespoons of Spierb Bhringraj Powder in a bowl.
2. Add warm water gradually, mixing until a smooth, spreadable paste forms.
3. Apply the freshly prepared paste to the hair and scalp.
4. Leave on for about 20–30 minutes.
5. Rinse thoroughly with water.
6. Use up to twice a week.

Adjust the amount of powder to hair length and thickness; aim for a soft, easy-to-spread paste rather than a fixed powder-to-water ratio. No resting time is needed, and dry or slightly damp hair both work.

Scalp-focused pack

Apply the same paste mainly across the scalp and roots, leave 20–30 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Useful when dry or fragile lengths prefer less product.

Light rinse

Disperse a smaller amount of powder thoroughly in plenty of water, work or pour it through the hair and scalp, then follow with a clean-water rinse.

Two-powder blends

With Spierb Amla or Spierb Brahmi: 1 tablespoon of each (2 tablespoons of each for long or thick hair), warm water to a soft paste, hydrate 5–10 minutes, apply to damp hair for about 20 minutes, rinse. With Spierb Aloe Vera Powder: 2 tablespoons Bhringraj to 1 of Aloe Vera Powder, rest 10 minutes, 20 minutes on wet hair. With Spierb Neem Powder: 2 tablespoons Bhringraj to 1 of Neem, mainly on the scalp, 15–20 minutes.

In a herbal wash

In a shikakai or reetha wash, the cleansing powder leads and bhringraj is the supporting care herb; follow the wash directions for that powder.

Home-infused oil

Warm about 2 tablespoons of powder in about 200 ml of coconut or sesame oil in a double boiler for 30–45 minutes, cool completely, strain into a clean dry jar and label it. Use as a pre-wash oil for around 30–60 minutes before washing. Make small batches and use within about 4 weeks.

Safety

For external cosmetic use only. Do not ingest. Avoid the eyes and the immediate eye area; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Do not apply to broken, damaged or significantly irritated scalp or skin. Stop using if irritation, burning, significant itching, swelling or unusual discomfort occurs. Keep out of reach of children.

Patch test

Patch test 24–48 hours before first use, using the mixture you intend to apply. Any ingredient you add — yoghurt, a carrier oil, an essential oil or another botanical — brings its own sensitivities, so test the finished blend.

Handling and storage

Avoid breathing airborne powder while measuring and mixing: pour gently and mix close to the bowl. Store the pouch sealed in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat and direct sunlight, and use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is 2 years from the date of packaging.
